Beach Wheel Chairs

Perranporth Gardens Charities hire Beach Wheelchairs to the public for use on the sand and in shallow water. These wheelchairs will give people who cannot normally enjoy the beach a sense of freedom and pleasure.

The hire of the wheelchair is FREE, but a cash deposit will be required on collection of £30. We will need proof of Identity such as Driving Licence, Passport or other picture ID. We would be grateful of a donation of £5 per hire, this goes towards the cost of maintenance and upkeep of the wheelchairs, so others may use the wheelchairs in the future.

The £30 deposit will be held until the prompt return of the wheelchair, with no damage. If returned late or any damage to the wheelchair your deposit will not be returned. The hirer will be charged for any extensive damage the wheelchair may have.

For Health and Safety reasons the wheelchairs need to be used in the correct manner. There is a weight limit of 22 stone (140kg).
